The Denver Health Emergency Department offers state-of-the-art emergent medical services to over 40,000 patients per year. The Level I Trauma Center at Denver Health delivers complete, around-the-clock care in adult, pediatric and psychiatric emergencies.
Incorporated within the Emergency department to provide the highest level of care is an Urgent Care Center, an ED observation unit, an Inpatient observation unit, along with a 24/7 Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner program. Denver Health currently has a Clinical leadership opportunity within this dynamic ED. and seeks an individual that displays excellence in communication, team building, customer service skills, and is a champion for the provision of quality patient care. This position is one of two full time RN Manager positions.
The two RN Managers are responsible for the 24-hour operations of the department Managing the clinical, personnel and financial operations of the assigned area in compliance with Policies and Procedures set forth by DHHA, Department of Nursing and the appropriate area. Supervises and directs all related activities in the assigned area according to the standards, philosophy, and objectives of the agency and department. Manages all aspects of environmental control, staff personnel assistance to physicians, material, and equipment. Analyzes and evaluates service for quality improvement.
Works directly with the ACNO to maintain departmental budget and are directly accountable to the Associate Chief Nursing Officer .
