Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring and getting to and from activities and meals according to the individual service plan
- Serving meals to residents in the dining room or their apartment
- Recording and reporting changes in residentâs eating h! abits to supervisor
- Supporting a dignified and caring atmosphere with residents, residentsâ families, visitors, and staff
- Protecting privacy and confidentiality of information pertaining to the resident, associate, community, and company information and records
- Maintaining a safe and secure working environment and practicing safe working habits
- Maintaining neat appearance, good personal hygiene, and appropriate attire
- Participating in training, in services, and attending meetings as required
- Complying with attendance policy
- Must have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Two years of related experience preferred and/or training in direct service with older adults, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of dementia particularly of the Alzheimerâs type is helpful
- Must have flexibili! ty with schedule
- Must enjoy working with the senior population!
