About the role and team
We have an opportunity for a full-time Service Clerk to join our Melbourne office. Working alongside a great team of Service Clerks, this role provides a high level of customer service and support to partners and employees within the firm.
This is a great entry level role for someone looking for a career in a law firm.
Key responsibilities
- open, sort and distribute incoming mail;
- coordinate and process all outgoing mail;
- photocopying and scanning;
- binding of documents and briefs;
- attend to court filing;
- booking couriers;
- daily banking;
- delivery of legal documents to Chambers, the Courts and clients;
- cleaning of kitchens; and
- backup to reception, switchboard and catering.
Skills and experience:
We are keen to hear from candidates with the following skills and experience:
- qualification in either a business or legal administration course;
- strong communication and interpersonal skills;
- team player with flexible approach;
- reliable with a 'can do' attitude and proactive approach;
- ability to work under pressure during peak times; and
- strong IT skills.
