Manages the end-to-end university recruitment process including consulting with HR and business partners to identify staffing needs, design and implement attraction strategies, define clear job skill specifications, internal and external sourcing, candidate screening, background checks, relocation/immigration, and offer completion. Drives university strategic programs, policies, platforms, services, and tools that enable the company to align staffing with the workforce plans. Responsible for designing and implementing university and student attraction strategies. Ensures local staffing practices are compliant with global/regional initiatives and legal requirements and meet business priorities such as diversity objectives. Develops and manages relationships with staffing vendors and Global Business Services (GBS) organizations.

Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors. Leads and/or provides expertise to functional project teams and may participate in cross-functional initiatives. Acts as an expert providing direction and guidance to process improvements and establishing policies. Frequently represents the organization to external customers/clients. Exercises significant independent judgment to determine best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives. May provide mentoring and guidance to lower level employees.
Responsibilities:
- Establishes and maintains relationships with key decision-makers within a business and region supporting university hiring and development; develops relationships with key leaders at the top of a business unit.
- Drives the achievement of the hiring targets for interns and new graduates into their sub- region, including time to fill, cost per hire, graduate, diversity, hiring manager and candidate satisfaction.
- Supervises the beginning to end university recruitment process within the sub-region; designs regional sourcing strategies in collaboration with sub-region leads and university partnerships; and troubleshoots and manages any escalations to senior management.
- Provides senior level guidance to hiring managers on the university hiring process, and ensures that managers are in compliance with corporate and government policy.
- Manages vendor relationships and participates in the assessment of their performance; provides solutions for improving vendor relationships.
- Leads initiatives within the region; may provide support on hiring initiatives that span across regions or businesses aligned to university recruitment strategies and practices
- Uses advanced business knowledge and subject matter expertise to design the university hiring and talent attraction strategy within a sub-region.
- Assesses the efficiency of staffing tools, identifies gaps and presents opportunities to management.
Education and Experience Required:
- First level university degree; advanced university degree preferred.
- Typically 6-10 years of related experience.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience executing university programs in multiple businesses in which the company competes for talent.
- Good relationship management skills.
- Excellent project management and process development skills.
- Demonstrated interest and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Expert knowledge in sourcing, screening, interviewing, and hiring best practices for internships, apprenticeships, and graduate hiring.
- Understanding of recruiting metrics and reporting standards and able to interpret data to diagnose route cause
