Our Neuro ICU is looking for an experienced RN as we grow from 10 to 24 beds in Spring of 2013. We provide a dynamic and multiâ€"disciplinary environment for nurses seeking knowledge and experience in Neurosciences, where ongoing education and research is a priority. As a primary Stroke Center, our Neuro ICU provides acute care to a wide variety of neurosurgical and neurological patient populations with diagnoses and services including: stroke, subâ€"arachnoid hemorrhage, cerebral aneurysm, AVM and neurovascular surgery, interventional neuroâ€"radiology, oncology & brain tumors, traumatic brain injury and spinal cord injury to name a few.
Patient assignments are based on patient acuity. Job Requirements What were looking for: *Graduation from an NLNAC or CCNE accredited sch! ool of nursing (BSN preferred) *Current, unrestricted CO RN li! censure or able to obtain one *At least 2 years previous ICU experience, Neuro ICU experience strongly preferred *Current AHA BLS and ACLS, CCRN preferred *Previous experience in an academic medical center There are many important advantages to becoming part of UCH, including our continuing growth and financial stability.
