Post by Jobing - Job Number 1099 Title Admissions LPN On Call Department Admissions Location Denver Work Schedule On Call position. Responsibilities Admissions LPN is a clerical posi! tion responsible for responding to calls during business hours. This position quickly and efficiently directs calls to the appropriate persons, takes new referrals or additional information from customers, problemâ€"solves and refers clinical issues to appropriate managers.Answers calls during regular business hours, prioritizing issues appropriately regarding clinical concerns and responding appropriate to emergency situations. Processes new or potential referrals, and accepts faxed referrals from all referral sources, including taking additional orders from referral sources and accurately entering referral information on to appropriate forms.

Responds to persons who call during normal business hours and responds to questions. Takes appropriate action to meet client needs (e.g. processing faxes, emailing appropriate intraâ€"agency departments). Recognizes and responds appropriately to emergencies, informing other of actions taken.

Interacts closely with S! upervisor to resolve situation. Relays messages and reports of! f to any appropriate people per Agency procedure. Acts as a customer service representative to internal and external customers (patients, physicians, caregivers, coâ€"workers and supervisors). Communicates and responds to service requests by listening, clarifying, problemâ€"solving and following up until resolution.

Applies knowledge of Agency resources to provide high quality customer service. Suggests ways to improve triage process when warranted. Graduation from high school or equivalent. Completion of an approved educational program for practical nursing.

Must have an active Colorado LPN license or a license from the state of primary residence, if participating in the NLC (Nurse Licensure Compact). Twelve months nursing experience as an LPN and six months nursing experience in the last three years. Additional experience and/or other requirements may vary by case or department needs. Anyone with less than 12 months of hospitalâ€"based nursing may be sub! ject to an extended probationary review period.
