As a Hospital Manager/Access Center RN at UCH, you will manage all hospital activities and make hospital administration decisions in the absence of on-site nursing management and administration. Your critical thinking skills and ability to interpret clinical data will be vital in performing patient placement functions in a rapidly changing environment. In a centralized location (UCH’s Access Center) you will be responsible for coordinating transfers from outside facilities.
You will also respond to all internal and external disaster/emergency related incidents and initiate and assist in Hospital Incident Command disaster response and planning, as well as respond to patient codes and Medical Emergency Team (MET) responses.
This position requires strong collaboration skills with all nursing units, interdisciplinary health care team and hospital leadership. You will work with risk management, legal, public relations and ethical dilemmas. Strong ! patient/family problem resolution skills are key to this role.!
Requirements:
BSN from an NLNAC or CCNE accredited school
Active, unrestricted CO RN license (or able to obtain one)
Current AHA BLS & ACLS
At least 5 years RN experience in an acute care setting
Strong RN leadership/management experience
Ability to work 36 hours/week, rotating day/night shifts
