Supporting the well being of Steamboat Springs and surrounding area residents is Yampa Valley Medical Center (YVMC), a community hospital with 39 inpatients beds and 59 skilled nursing beds. Physical Therapist
Performs physical therapy evaluations and treatments on patients. Supervises PTAs and aides. Assist Director and Assistant Director as needed and adheres to department policies.
Job Responsibilities:
Performs PT evaluations and designs and implement appropriate treatment plan for in/outpatient
Selects appropriate exercises and modalities and provides manual therapy as appropriate
Completes all electronic and written documentati! on per department policy; including evaluations, daily notes, ! progress notes, and discharge summaries.
Communicates with physicians, 3rd party payors and assures Rx is up to date
Attends continuing educations, in-services and staff meeting to assure ongoing professional development.
Attends care conferences, discharge planning meeting and medical meetings as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned. Must be HIPAA compliant.
Qualifications:
Completion accredited Physical Therapy program, B.S. or MPT in Physical Therapy. All new hires will have a MSPT or a MPT. At least 2 years of outpatient experience required. ATC or on field sports medicine experience preferred. Concussion management experience also preferred. Licensed Physical Therapist and current CPR.
