Improve lives, form lasting relationships, and have fun at work!

"I work in stres! sful situations where patients need urgent attention. It's exciting to be able to help people get better." - Jerry A

Work autonomously in an intense hospital environment-without the typical hospital routine. As a DaVita acute dialysis registered nurse, you will provide the highest level of care to renal patients at our partner hospitals. Stay on your toes in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment with new challenges to troubleshoot and overcome daily. Yet with low patient-to-nurse ratios (often 1:1 or 2:1), we have the opportunity to develop meaningful relationships with patients, family members, doctors, and hospital staff. Your sense of purpose and accomplishment at the end of each day is powerful.

What can you expect as an acute dialysis nurse at DaVita?

"I love problem solving and the challenge of the role of acute nursing. I get a lot of respect from the doctors and my team." - Ginny E.

Patients - Help your patients when they ! need it most
Patient care is our top priority and we look ! for nurses who share our values of Service Excellence and Continuous Improvement. We are proud to be the clinical leader in kidney care and strive to "bring quality to life" for each patient we touch. Each life-saving dialysis treatment provides visible, immediate improvement in our patients-a powerful process to be part of!

Independence - Manage your patients on your own in the hospital setting
As an acute dialysis nurse you can expect to work independently to assess, troubleshoot, and make sound decisions for critical patients. What an exciting challenge to take on!

Intensity - Expect the unexpected
No two days are the same for an acute dialysis nurse. The hospital setting is dynamic and each patient's needs are unique. When you walk in the door each day you won't always know which patients you might have-their conditions and complications, when they will be ready for dialysis, or when you will be done for the day.

Some details about ! this position:
This is a full-time role working 3-4 days a week, with shifts ranging from 10 to 14 hours or more. We provide services 24 hours a day, seven days a week, so scheduling flexibility is a must.

Acute dialysis nurses generally float between hospitals depending on patient census. It is possible you will work at multiple hospitals in a single day. As such, nurses must have transportation to, from, and between hospitals.

On call is required typically once per week, in which case 24-hour availability is required. Weekend call is also expected.

What we are looking for:
Dialysis experience is preferred (at least six months working in acute or chronic hemodialysis).

At least one year of nursing experience within ICU, CCU, ER, med/surg, telemetry also strongly preferred.

That said, we are looking for the RIGHT person, RIGHT fit, RIGHT attitude. While dialysis experience is preferred, we can train the right c! andidate. Critical thinking and eagerness to learn are essential.
A solid work ethic and FUN nature go a long way at DaVita, so roll up your sleeves and put on your party hat!

Our patients are the #1 priority and we're looking for the cream of the crop to help make a difference in their lives.

If you align closely with our core values of Service Excellence, Integrity, Team, Continuous Improvement, Accountability, Fulfillment, and Fun, then DaVita may be the right place for you!
