Medical Equipm! ent Planner: Evaluates, locates and recommends equipment t! o be purchased for new medical facilities, major renovations and expansions of existing medical facilities; facilitates meetings with medical personnel to establish appropriate placement and use of medical equipment and assists the customer with the selection of medical equipment and related systems.
Provides expertise in the planning and specifying of medical equipment for project(s) involving multi-disciplinary and diverse healthcare facility activities.
Basic Qualifications:
Degree: Biomedical, nursing a plus
Minimum of 10 years experience in the planning of medical equipment on large healthcare projects and programs.
Additional Qualifications:
A general knowledge of the US Defense Medical Materiel Logistics Systems (DMMLS); and
3-years equipment planning experience or 2-years experience on relevant Federal, DoD and/or Army projects.
Knowledge and experience of construction management processes, means, a! nd methods.
Experience dealing with healthcare equipment manufacturers, and medical professionals.
Knowledge of healthcare code compliance.
