DWCC Certified Nurse Aide (Part Time)

Description: Yampa Valley Medical Center is employing DWCC Certified Nurse Aide (Part Time) right now, this occupation will be placed in Colorado. For detail informations about this occupation opportunity kindly read the description below. Administers direct care to residents in a safe, professional manner. Works as part of a team with other CNA’s, nurses, and other related departme! nts to assist residents with ADL’s and restorative therapies. Works under direction of Charge RN as well as the Director of Nursing.
Job Responsibilities:
Assists residents with daily ADL’s including dressing and toileting needs.
Assists residents with meals, including feeding and encouraging. Observes res-idents appetites and intake; reporting observations to charge nurse.
Assists residents with transfers as needed.
Completes dental audits as assigned,
Bathes residents, including nail and hair care. Monitors residents skin condition and reports changes to charge nurse
Performs restorative therapies as assigned, Works closely with restorative nurse.
Completes restorative charting electronically as assigned.
Helps keep resident rooms clean and orderly.
Completes daily assignments to include, vital signs, B&B, I&O, and specimen collection.
Completes routine cleaning and re! stocking assignments.
Adapts principles of FISH and E! den into all practices.
Perform other duties as assigned. Must be HIPAA compliant.
Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
Minimum Work Experience: One year long term care experience preferred
Required Licenses/Certifications: CPR & CNA. Completion of a CNA Program required if not already certified & CNA Certification must be obtained within 4 months of hire date.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with residents, families, co-workers, visitors and physicians. Ability to work with and understand the geriatric population.
Ability to plan, organize and exercise logical judgment. Visual, auditory verbal and tactile functions sufficient to perform job duties, including ability to visually assess residents and ability to hear call signals and alarms.
Working Environment: Employ! ees work in a climate controlled environment. May be exposed to infectious material, sharps, and unpredictable behaviors of residents. May also be exposed to heat and wet surfaces.
Essential Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 63 lbs, Carry 52 lbs 25 feet, Push/Pull 55 lbs 150 feet, Lift Overhead 30 lbs. Able to perform repetitive standing, sitting, stooping, walking, stretching, and reaching.
Additional Information:
Every other weekend required.
