Medical Surgical Progre! ssive Care Unit:
This 28-bed unit specializes in acutely ill adults with medical diagnosis and post surgical interventions. This highly skilled nursing unit falls under the division of critical care and follows the American Association of Critical?Care Nurses model of progressive care as part of the continuum of critical care. The unit will have a mixed patient population of medical and surgical specialties that will allow nursing skill diversity and foster a broad wealth of knowledge by every team member. Nursing assignments are made on a shift-to-shift basis, taking into consideration staff skill levels and patient acuity to ensure we have the proper care needed for every patient each shift.

As a Certified Nursing Assistant, you will perform delegated and ancillary basic nursing skills. Your day will include assisting patients with activities of daily living, transporting patients and providing them with nutritional support and other activities as appropriate to clinical servi! ce, in accordance with hospital standards, nursing standards of care, and policies and procedures. All the while, enhancing our positive, friendly atmosphere with your cheerful disposition and energetic attitude.
You must be certified as a Nursing Assistant in the State of Colorado as well as have a current American Heart Association BLS Provider Card or a HeartSaver Card. You will need to have a consistent work history, preferably as a Nursing Assistant in the areas of acute care and/or long term careâ€"and be able to multi-task, to be at your best in a fast-paced environment and be able to perform your duties independently and productively.
