LPN - Public Health

Experience in Public Health, Family Planning or STDs preferred.
Under close supervision of an RN, Care Provider, or Nursing Clinical C! oordinator provides direct patient care in accordance with established protocols. Assists RNs and Care Providers with procedures, medication administration, phlebotomy, and limited laboratory procedures. Assesses patient's physical and psychological condition on an ongoing basis throughout the continuum of care. Documents patient's medical status throughout the patient's course of treatment
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Completion of a nursing education program that satisfies the licensing requirements of the Colorado State Board of Nursing for Licensed Practical Nurse. Experience: Typically, one year directly related experience. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Maintain current knowledge of all agency and deparmental policies, protocols, and updates. Knowledge of safety principles and infection control in the patient care environment. Physical assessment skills sufficient to perform,STD examinations, collect lab specimens, and document care. In! terpersonal communication skills to communicate with clinic st! aff and diverse patient population. Clerical skills. Effective time utilization. Certifications and Licenses: Current Basic Life Support for Health Care Provider Certification/CPR. Active Licensed Practical Nurse License in the state of Colorado or qualifying compact state. +
