They are in need of an Enterprise Comm Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of progressive responsibility. Sponsorship is not available. POSITION SUMMARY Under general supervision, fulfills operational support of the Unified Communications (UC) infrastructure environment. Duties include the installation, configuration, management and problem resolution of! various data and voice network infrastructure hardware and so! ftware components that comprise the UC environment. The UC environment includes various models of Cisco routers, switches, wireless controllers, wireless access points, call manager servers, voice gateways, analog gateways, wired and wireless voice handsets, structured cable plants and various monitoring and management platforms.
The qualified individual demonstrates and achieves the highest rates of network availability. The qualified individual provides detailed documentation of installed data and voice equipment and configurations, standardizing all UC Infrastructure components and configurations. The qualified individual keeps and illustrates meticulous up-to-date documentation of software configurations of all UC infrastructure systems. The qualified individual demonstrates and supports all defined IT Communications standards and applies them to all projects.
This position will have responsibility for leading IT infrastructure installations of new and! existing facilities, managing all levels of connectivity of communications and applications within the Enterprise. This position will assume some responsibility of managing and troubleshooting technical issues of all telecommunication providers circuits to insure all SLA’s and OLA’s are met as outlined by contract. This individual will demonstrate an ability to monitor and master performance tools of the UC network providing information and on-demand reports validating the utilization, speed, and reliability of the Enterprise UC Infrastructure. This position will demonstrate a skillful comfort level managing any vendor partnerships, and vendor service groups to ensure proper escalation during outages or periods of degraded system performance.
Advanced analytical and troubleshooting skills and in-depth knowledge of Internet Protocol (IP) required. Required to rotate on-call in a 24X7 support environment. WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS bull 5 years progressive res! ponsibility supporting Cisco data voice andor video communications pref! erably in a large enterprise network environment. bull Knowledge of healthcare operations preferred.
Organized, self-starter. Must be able to work independently. bull Understand and apply Cisco datavoice network design principles and concepts. bull Demonstrate good analytical and problem-solving skills in a large enterprise network environment.
bull Understands circuit types, interfaces, and telecommunications vocabulary. bull Able to create network specifications based on requirements analysis. bull Ability to function at the Cisco CCNACCNA Voice level of competency. bull Excellent verbal and written communications skills are a must.
bull Provide courteous and effective customer service. bull Support goals and mission of the organization, within Information Technology. bull Perform duties and interacts with others in a professional manner. bull Maintain good working relationship with peers and co-workers.
bull Familiar with structured ca! bling components, nurse call, audiovideo systems, security, paging, and CATVMATV systems. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS bull Associates Degree in communications (technical) andor completion of formal courses in Telecommunications, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field. Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Equivalent work experience considered.
