Job Summary:

Under the directions of the Central Transportation Services Management team, serves as a call agent and
dispatcher for a multi-disciplinary department. Displays an ability to learn and efficiently navigate computerized transportation dispatching
and bed tracking software (CS-Link/EPIC), refrigerator temperature monitoring software (TempTrak), and facilities service request
maintenance program (Mainspring). In addition to being able to use an ACD based phone system, you will need to utilize 2-way radio, email,
Word and Excel files to effectively and efficiently process and retrieve needed information in a timely and accurate manner. Capable of
handling high call volumes on a daily basis and in emergency situations while keeping in line with Department’s policies and procedures.
Ability to focus on live data updates and logically schedule representatives to immediate service calls involving patient care. Should be able
to learn and recall locations of various areas and departments throughout the medical center. Must be fluent in English, read, write and
speak. Candidate must display excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills with external and internal clientele. Must
have good follow up skills and capable of working a variety of shifts. You will need to utilize proper telephone etiquette when assisting
customers, triaging calls and providing information to callers. Must be able to lift and put away office supplies shipments as received such as:
cartons of paper, boxes of files, and other miscellaneous supplies utilized to ensure efficient productivity. Must be able to sit or stand in one
spot the majority of working hours. Adheres to all Hospital and departmental policies and procedures and complies with JCAHO and other
regulatory agencies in all work performed while maintaining patient confidentiality.


Educational Requirements:

High school graduate or equivalent required. English speaking, spelling, grammar, & simple math skills equivalent to high
school level required. Courses & work experience in communications, public contact, book-keeping, business machines
and correspondence preferred.Knowledge and understanding of the organization, functions, policies and procedures of the Department, and the inter-
relationship with other departments. Ability to interact effectively with Directors, Managers, internal staff, patients and
representatives of public agencies and business, or a comparable level of education and experience.

Licenses:

Must possess a minimum computer competency comprised of a working knowledge of Windows or a comparable system
(specifically including keyboarding and mouse skills). Must additionally possess a working knowledge of word
processing, spreadsheets, presentation development, E-mail browsers and on-line reporting. Ability to type 45 to 50 WPM.

Experience:

Experience demonstrating the ability to handle multiple tasks frequently with short time-lines, to prioritize and organize
work, and to complete assignments in a timely, accurate manner.

Physical Demands:

Stand dynamically to perform a function and move to perform another.
Stand statically in one place to perform a function without changing location.
Sit at a desk or table with some walking, standing, bending, stooping, or carrying of light objects.
Perform continuous operation of a personal computer for four hours or more.
Use hands and fingers to handle and manipulate objects and/or operate equipment.
Balance the body while walking, standing, crouching, or stooping to prevent falling.
