(AAAHC). Job Summary (Essential Functions) Performs all routine and emergent nursing functions pertinent to efficient, quality, ambulatory related triage care.
Performs phone triage according to length and severity of patient complaints. Responsible for prioritizing incoming patient calls and gathering vital information from patient (i.e. symptoms, age and current medical conditions). After gathering information, the nurse advises the patient of basic treatment opt! ions, urges them to seek immediate care in an emergency room o! r schedules an appointment with their PCP or at CCC.
Educates patients or family members as appropriate using CSR or approved triage manuals. This position acts as nurse support for the customer service team. Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications Education: Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing Program required Work Experience: Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience required. Ambulatory care/Primary care setting experience preferred.
Triage experience preferred. Cognitive Skills (Language, Math, Reasoning Ability): High language, high reasoning and critical thinking abilities Computer Skills: Must be computer literate. Other Skills: Ability to manage several tasks at one time. Ability to work with a diverse patient population.
Bilingual (Spanish) preferred Certificates & Licenses: Current Colorado RN License. Current CPR (BCLS) certification required Physical Demands Able to support/lift at least 50 pounds. Long! periods of standing, moving, occasional periods of sitting. Hearing within normal range for telephone use.
