Support DoD Center of Excellence to support evaluation of DoD clinical and non-clinical programs addressing ! prevention, treatment and/or management of Psychological Health (PH), Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), and co-occurring conditions.
Support includes:
Lead initiatives and activities associated with DCoEâs response to Program Evaluation directivesDevelop and execute a streamlined rapid evaluation protocol to determine the outcome and impact of DoD clinical and non-clinical programs through evidence based evaluation.Establish guidelines and conduct training for all PH/TBI program components in an effort to adopt a common standard for rapid program evaluation activitiesSupport data collection, interview protocols, onsite evaluation and preparation of program reportsProvide consultation/technical services to programs in the areas of Data Collection and Analysis; Development and implementation of program effectiveness metrics; Process Improvement; Program Design; Community Outreach and Partnership Planning Support
Additional Responsibilities: C! onduct research, interviews, focus groups, and other methods t! o analyze PH/TBI program challenges and needsConduct analysis of program effectiveness data through qualitative and quantitative analysis of utilization, healthcare costs, and program outcomes.Provide written summary of statistical findings and conclusions.Maintain a working knowledge of significant developments and trends in PH, TBI and resilience/prevention research, clinical practice, and training for military service membersWork closely with staff to develop curriculum and toolkits for training military healthcare providers and program directors on program evaluation methodologies.Knowledge of existing best practices and lessons learned from relevant other DoD and federal agencies in program evaluation planning and implementation.Expertise in healthcare operations and servicesAbility to consult and collaborate with military healthcare providers, researchers, and policy makersDemonstrated experience and ability to analyze existing and potential information from a wide va! riety of sourcesStrong public speaking skills, communication, and consultation skills, and ability to work with diverse policy makers, clinicians, and large working groupsDesire and skill to work as member of an interdisciplinary teamOversee production of timely, high quality work products, appropriate for an executive-level audience, that meet client approved objectivesEffectively lead teams in a multi-work stream environment
Demonstrated evidence of:
Application of scientific research methods and application of research analysis; consistent application and use of scientific standards, psychological theories and measurement, testing and evaluation procedures.Strong technical writing skills to clearly and succinctly communicate project/research information within the DoD, other federal agencies and to the general public.Previous experience as a uniformed service member or related experience within the DoD is preferred as well as knowledge of DoD or other! Federal healthcare systems.Experience working within multi- or interdi! sciplinary teamsConsultation and liaison with healthcare providers and policy makers
All the following will be considered WITH more than 2 yearsâ experience in military healthcare operations or specialized clinical experience with traumatic brain injury patients in acute, inpatient or rehabilitation settings:
MASTERS or DOCTORAL DEGREE from an accredited institution in the area of behavioral or social sciences research (e.g., Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Organizational Development, Experimental Psychology, etc.) or healthcare related fieldPSYCHOLOGIST: Doctorate in Clinical or Counseling Psychology (PhD) or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) with current, unrestricted, and valid license as a clinical or applied psychologist from a U.S. State, District of Columbia, Commonwealth, or Territory, AND more than 2 years of post-doctorate experience providing or managing neuropsychological services in inpatient, acute or rehabilitation settings.NURSE: Bachelor! âs degree, Master's degree, or Doctorate in nursing from a school in the United States approved by a recognized accrediting body AND APRN certification or licensure with more than 2 yearsâ experience in military healthcare operations or specialized clinical experience with traumatic brain injury in acute, inpatient or rehabilitation settings.PHYSICAL THERAPIST: Masterâs or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy or Physiotherapy from a school in the United States approved by a recognized accrediting body, with a current license in a State, District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States, AND more than 2 yearsâ experience in military healthcare operations or specialized clinical experience with traumatic brain injury in acute, inpatient or rehabilitation settings.OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST: Masterâs or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from a school in the United States approved by a recognized accrediting body, with a cur! rent license in a State, District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puer! to Rico, or a territory of the United States, AND more than 2 yearsâ experience in military healthcare operations or specialized clinical experience with traumatic brain injury in acute, inpatient or rehabilitation settings.PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT: Licensed Physician Assistant with more than 2 yearsâ experience in military healthcare operations or specialized clinical experience with psychological health and traumatic brain injury in acute, inpatient or rehabilitation settings.All Doctoral level providers will be considered if individual has more than 2 yearsâ experience in military healthcare operations or specialized clinical experience with traumatic brain injury patients in acute, inpatient or rehabilitation settings.
