Basic

Function:
Health Language
is currently seeking a Clinical Application Analyst to assist and support
external clients as directed by the Professional Services tea! m. The Clinical
Application Analyst will work to ensure th! e proper evaluation and development
of content projects and deliverables. This position offers a unique opportunity
for a coding professional to work within a team that creates medical coding
content for products deployed to payers and providers. Health Language is
looking for a highly motivated person to be client facing to support external
clients.

Essential

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide coding
and industry expertise to provide consulting, analysis and recommendations to
our clients based on mapping and/or other translations of client local
terminology.

  • Provide coding
and industry expertise in understanding the changes and shifts related to
ICD-9, ICD-10 as well as other various terminologies, including HCPCS, CPT,
SNOMED

  • Be able to
travel and work onsite with clients to provide content expertise

  • Establish ! with
client for each client project using applicant’s knowledge and background to
the design and overall mapping guidelines.

  • Work and support
team members and the quality assurance process for all client projects.

  • Development and
delivery of application training to end clients.

  • Assist with
research to identify opportunities for new content and product development

  • Assure
compliance with any regulatory or accrediting organizations regarding clinical
edits

  • Work with the
development and operations teams to make necessary refinements/improvements in
processes or technology that will maximize the effectiveness of Health
Language’s products

  • Provide coding
and clinical expertise support for customer and provider inquiries, questions,
challenges or appeals

  • Dev! elop and
implement training and documentation for end user n! eeds.

Required

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Characteristics:
  • Bachelor’s
degree in Medical Sciences, Nursing, Informatics or equivalent

  • Solid medical
coding experience required

  • 3-5 years’
experience required

  • Strong coding
skills using domestic code sets required, e.g., (HCPCS, APC, CPT, ICD-9-CM,
SNOMED, ICD-10, RxNorm)

  • End-user
training experience required

  • Ability to work
independently in a fast paced environment; must be able to manage deadlines and
multiple projects

  • Technical
computer skills required

  • Proficiency in
Excel, PowerPoint, MS Office

  • Strong written,
verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Customer-service
oriented; client facing skill! s and abilities

  • Strong
organizational skills

  • Strong team-work
focus

  • Possess the
personal characteristics of professionalism, credibility, commitment to high
standards, innovation, discriminating judgment and accountability

  • Proactive,
rather than reactive, at solving problems

  • Ability to
travel 30-50% required
