As a PreOp RN, the importance of your role in the surgery process cannot be overstated. You think critically. You think fast. You are the calming presence for often anxious surgical patients.
Our busy outpatient PreOp unit supports 21 ORs and cares for an average of 40+ cases a day. This person will prepare the patient for surgery including patient assessments, IV starts, drawing labs, obtaining consents, initiating PreOp calls and providing superior customer service to our patients and families.
We’re looking for candidates who can offer:
Nursing degree from a school accredited by the NLNAC or CCNE; BSN strongly preferred
Unrestricted CO RN license (or able to obtain one)
AHA BLS & ACLS; PALS within 6 months of hire
At least one year previous Med/Surg, Step-Down, ICU or PreOp experience in an acute surgical setting
CPAN/CAPA preferred
