Perform date entry to prepare accurate worksheets for hospital bill auditors. Actively participates with other team members as part of an effective work team.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assures itemized bill data corresponds with data logged into system.
- Enters itemized bill into the system; both alpha and numeric characters.
- Enters itemized bill into the system by dates, codes or other specialized methods.
- Assures established data entry keying and balancing timelines are met.
- Balances worksheets to itemized bill total within a given timeline.
- Reviews worksheets for accuracy in item codes, descriptions, quantities, and prices.
- Work with Bill Procurement Specialist to identify discrepancies between itemized bill and system status.
- Assures data entry of claim will meet scheduled hospital audit appointment dates.
- Meets audit appointment deadlines.
- Completes mailing instructions for case when balanced and reviewed.
- Assures entered claim I-bill, worksheets, data entry sheets and routing sheets are placed in appropriate basket for mail out.
- Updates claim notes when applicable.
- Updates provider notes when applicable.
- Become familiar with facilities itemized bill formats.
- Interacts with providers when necessary to resolve itemized bill issues.
- Able to accurately enter paper claims received from clients in the PI system.
- Must be detailed oriented.
- Must be able to work with deadlines.
- Must have ability to organize and prioritize.
- Performs other duties as required.
