This role is with the Dole Fresh Vegetables (DFV) division. DFV will provide INTERNAL CANDIDATES priority and consideration of their success in existing and prior roles as valid experience.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PRIMARY PURPOSE:

Under supervision of Sr. Credit & Collections Manager, responsible for contacting past due accounts through various means to effectively reduce open accounts receivable.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS/DUTIES OF THE POSITION:
- Communicate with customers to negotiate payment of past due accounts.
- Effectively pursue balance due or chargeback invoices.
- Manage time to meet daily, weekly, and monthly deadlines.
- Research customer deductions and resolve disputed files.
- Act as a key participant in the successful reduction of DSO (Days Sales Outstanding).
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills
JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES:
- 2-4 years of experience working in a mid to large size company preferred.
- Previous Credit and Collection experience preferred.
- Preferably data entry, phone, and customer service background.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to quickly change priorities and handle competing priorities.
- Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet Explorer
- Ability to use general office equipment, including 10-key by touch.
- Ability to understand basic accounting
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, ability to sit for long periods of time.
WORK HOUR & TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, rotating shifts preferred/required.
Required Experience
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
- H.S. Diploma required; some college strongly preferred
PAY RATE:
- $27.88 to $28.84 per hour
